Personal Visits

Personal visits provide the opportunity to introduce parents to child development information and resources, increase understanding of their child's behavior, discuss parenting matters and promote family bonding through involvement in age-appropriate activities.

Weekly Playgroup

The purpose of the weekly playgroup is to enhance the child's social skills through peer interaction and share ways for parents to effectively observe their child at each developmental stage.

Developmental Screenings

Developmental screenings provide early detection of delays and health issues, increase parents' understanding of their child's developmental progress including strengths and weaknesses and assess the child's readiness for kindergarten.

Group Meetings

The purpose of monthly group meetings is to address parenting concerns, facilitate a support system among parents and practice parenting skills.

Lending Library

Books are available to check-out in an effort to advance literacy growth at home.

Resource Network

Families are connected with the necessary community organizations based on their needs.

Kirbyville Parents as Teachers is a member of the Healthy Families Taskforce. It includes representatives from more than 40 public and private human service organizations.
