Gift of Hope

Gift of Hope recognizes the need for children in school to have proper nutrition in order to be physically and psychologically prepared for a learning environment.  We also recognize that feeding a family can be very expensive.

Gift of Hope and the Kirbyville School District have adopted a program named "The Backpack Club."  This program serves a total of nine school districts in Taney County.  The program provides children who might not otherwise receive a sufficient amount of food on the weekends with a backpack filled with nutritious, child-friendly food.

This program is based on need as there is a limited quantity of food.  Please fill out the application and return it to school if your child/children could benefit from the assistance.  Our goal is to be able to send backpacks home with approximately 40 children each week.

Between the nine school districts it serves, The Backpack Club furnishes food for approximately 1,000 children each week during the school year! If you have any questions or would like to help in any way, please contact Gift of Hope at 417-546-8062 or Mrs. Kephart, Elementary School Counselor at 417-334-2757.
