QUEST (Gifted) Classes Rationale
The purpose of the Quest Gifted Program in the Kirbyville School District is to facilitate the academic and social development of students who are identified as academically gifted through established criteria including teacher recommendation, measure of creativity, academic testing and intelligence testing. Gifted students will acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes through instruction in four basic areas: logical and critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, applying creativity, and topical units of study, to become self-respecting, self-sufficient, contributing members of the rapidly changing world in which they live.
