ABOUT KIRBYVILLE PRESCHOOL

The children are the most valued part of the classroom. Each child's individual needs are important, whether they are physical, social, emotional, or intellectual. We believe children possess knowledge that is important to our classroom. They learn by making sense of their world based on what they know. They demonstrate their knowledge when they draw, build, speak, read, and play. They are capable of, and responsible, for constructing their own knowledge. Each day we will have learning experiences based on the children's interests and our knowledge of the curriculum and concepts that we want to present to them. We also give them time to play and for choosing what they are interested in doing. We make classroom rules together. All children will be expected to operate in an environment that gives consideration to others. We spend time playing outside. We sing, share, play games, vote, read, and tell stories.

Children must be 3 years old by August 1st of the upcoming school year. The child must be potty trained. Priority is given to those families that live in the Kirbyville School District and/or have had a child in the program the previous year. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We follow the same schedule as the school district.
