Welcome to the Kirbyville Elementary School Counseling Page!
We implement the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Program (MCSCP) model to address the social/emotional, academic and career development of all students. More information on school counseling can be obtained on the DESE website.
- What are the goals for social/emotional development? Students will grow in their understanding of themselves and as members of a diverse community. They will interact with others in ways that respect differences. They will also learn how to apply personal safety skills and coping strategies in various situations.
- What is the goal for academic development? Students will apply the skills needed for educational achievement and transitioning between grade levels.
- What is the goal for career development? Students will explore careers and develop skills to achieve life goals.
